Trading Activites on BRVM

The BRVM closed its fixing session on Friday, February 20, 2009, slightly higher than the previous one. The BRVM Composite index rose to 0.08%, climbing from 170.63 to 170.77 points. The BRVM 10 index closed at 186.31 points up 0.13%.  The value of the transactions was 248.71 million CFA francs, compared to the 201.18 million CFA francs reported last Session.

Trading involved 13 of the 38 companies listed on the stock exchange. The number of securities traded climbed to 20,284.16 of the 20 accredited brokerage firms, including 9 from outside Côte d'Ivoire, took part in the market. Stock market capitalization was 3,197,990,063,540 CFA francs. That for the bond market rose to 493,636,379,500 CFA francs.

On the bond market, 1,884 bonds were traded for a total value of 18.84 million CFA francs, not counting accrued coupons.
